At Maple Leaf Meats, we’ve spent the past 8 years doing what we love serving up real food, made from scratch, with no shortcuts. What began as a humble food truck trading in Melbourne’s Inner West has grown into a local institution, known for its smoky BBQ flavours, retro vibes, and honest, handcrafted eats.

 

Our journey started at Yarraville Gardens, where our first ever menu featured Montreal’s finest: the Montreal Smoked Meat Sandwich. While we were proud of the product, we quickly realised that our community was craving something different. So, we pivoted fast. Within a week, we introduced a new menu: smoked pork ribs, our now-famous Maple Beef Burger, and the first appearance of our house-made Maple BBQ Sauce. We also rolled out the Special Cheese Burger complete with our signature Tomato Sauce ‘Thick with Kick’.​

From day one, we made a commitment: no generic sauces, no preservatives, no fillers just real ingredients and bold, authentic flavour. Everything we serve is made the hard way, from scratch. That’s how it used to be done, and that’s how we still do it.

 

Over time, our menu evolved and so did our reputation. Our customers began asking the same question: “When are you going to bottle your sauces?” So, we did just that. What began as a food truck favourite has grown into a proudly local retail range, with every sauce crafted with the same passion and integrity as day one. And we’re just getting started.

 

We’re more than a food truck, we’re a flavour movement. Rooted in tradition, inspired by community, and driven by passion. This is a labour of love, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
